Our New Reality
To say that the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world as we once knew it would be an understatement. More than a year following the virus’ emergence, the majority of the planet, let alone the country, still find themselves impacted by a somewhat suspended reality. Yet, for as profoundly as the pandemic continues to transform the manner in which Canadians work, learn, and socialize, there appears to be an emergence of hope as we collectively adjust to the new normal of celebrating and gathering.
There’s no denying that planning an event or wedding amidst ever-changing social distancing guidelines can prove to be a difficult process. Couples and families all over the country have been presented with a host of unexpected challenges as they proceed with their intentions to commemorate love, life, graduation, and/or promotions with friends and loved ones. Yet, for all those that have chosen to postpone, there are many that harbour a strong conviction to re-invent their special day and proceed. Reminding us that, although the way in which we celebrate may be changing, the love and joy behind need not.
